Love Letters
Love Letters—by A.R. Gurney
February 5, 6, 7*, 12, 13, 14*, 19, 20, 21* 2010
This is theater at its simplest: two actors read the letters exchanged over a lifetime by two characters. These two are, in their own way, as star-crossed as Romeo & Juliet. In a novel presentation each performance a different husband and wife acting couple will give life to this evocative, touching and frequently funny piece. Rated: R.

I Have Before Me A Remarkable Document Given to Me by A Young Lady from Rwanda
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! all for One’s alternative theatre piece to beat last year’s mid-winter blahs is reprised in response to the desire of 2009 audiences. I HAVE BEFORE ME A REMARKABLE DOCUMENT GIVEN TO ME BY A YOUNG LADY FROM RWANDA, by Sonja Linden is a provocative and timely two-character drama. This surprisingly funny meeting of two cultures introduces us to Juliette, a young Rwandan refugee living in London, and Simon, a middle-aged struggling novelist assigned to help her with her English writing skills. As he encourages her to write her personal story, and she resists, we are drawn into the reality of tragedy and triumph for all those who have lived in war-torn countries. Rated PG-13 for subject matter.

Crime & Punishment (Fort Wayne Premiere)
In Marilyn Campbell & Curt Columbus’ new adaptation, Dostoevsky’s masterpiece is distilled to its heart-pounding essence. The egocentric student Raskolnikov commits a senseless murder. Detective Porfiry pursues him slowly but relentlessly. And hope of redemption is held out in the unlikely guise of Sonia, a young prostitute. Guilt and tension are palpable in this “conversation on the nature of evil” which regional theater critics are hailing as “stunningly lean, taut and emotionally searing... a work of theatre that...has the swift, sharp impact of a blow from an ax.” (Chicago Sun-Times)
Rated PG-13 for subject matter.

Intimate Apparel
Intimate Apparel—by Lynn Nottage
June 3**, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13*, 18, 19, 2010
In New York City, 1905, Esther, a black seamstress, sews intimate apparel for a range of clients from wealthy white patrons to prostitutes. This play has a delicacy and eloquence that is absolutely right for an era when the cut and color of one's dress—and skin—determined whom one could marry, or even talk to in public. Rated: PG.
